Test Results

For test results for example, blood test results or x-ray results please telephone the surgery after 2.00pm.

If your GP/Nurse wishes to speak to you regarding your result the receptionist will book you a convenient telephone consultation. We have specific appointments reserved for results both in a morning and an afternoon and the receptionist will offer you the next available appointment with the GP/Nurse who requested the test. The GP/Nurse always indicates on the result a timescale in which to speak to them, for example something which needs discussing quickly will be marked "within the week". Something routine "within 3 weeks".

SAMPLES  FOR COLLECTION

OUR SAMPLES COLLECTION IS EVERY WEEKDAY AT 11:30AM.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT SAMPLES DROPPED OFF AFTER THIS TIME UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY A CLINICIAN.

SOME SAMPLES CANNOT BE KEPT REFRIDGERATED AND YOU MAY BE ASKED TO COME BACK AND DROP OFF YOUR SAMPLE IN A MORNING.

TO AVOID WASTING TIME, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT SAMPLES UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN REQUESTED BY A CLINICAN.

IF YOU THINK YOU MAY HAVE AN INFECTION AND WISH TO BRING IN A STOOL OR URINE SAMPLE, PLEASE  ARRANGE TO SPEAK TO ONE OF THE CLINICIANS FIRST.
