The NHS in Warrington is now offering appointments for the COVID vaccination to specific groups of unpaid carers.  The only carers who qualify at this time are 'those who are eligible for a carer’s allowance, or those who are the sole or primary carer of an elderly or disabled person who is at increased risk of COVID-19 mortality and therefore clinically vulnerable'.

The definition is very specific. It is important that only those who meet the above criteria book an appointment because it is aimed at protecting those most at risk of harm. You will be required to sign and confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

If you do not qualify at this point please be assured that the NHS team are doing all they can to get vaccines out as quickly as possible and we are hopeful that your turn will come soon. To book an appointment please contact the surgery  on 01925  765101 and we will advise you what to do next.

If you are a formal carer for someone and in receipt of carers allowance or are the sole carer for a person who is reliant on your care on a regular basis, you may be eligible for a covid vaccination
